THE RAPTURE

This magnificent bronze and rose marble abstract reflects David’s expression of the Rapture. The general shape is a 14-inch circle, much like a plate standing upright on its edge. This shape represents the earth. On the front side from about midway up you can see all the saved souls being taken up to heaven and, at the very top, the earth is starting to split in two.

At the bottom, hell is erupting and Satan, the fallen angel, is hovering above and gathering in the unsaved souls.

The back of the sculpture is highly polished to reflect the holy, white light of God encompassing the earth. The rose marble base with its red, white, and green swirls represent what the atmosphere around the earth may look like when the end comes.

David intends to sell this one-of-a-kind piece for $1,500,000 - the amount that is required to build "His Only Begotten," a 70-foot monument paying tribute to our Lord.

David feels the value of $1,500,000 is very realistic. If there had been a significant piece of art offered for sale to raise the capital required to build the Statue of Liberty or the Eiffel Tower, that piece of art would be priceless today.

Today there are people who have been blessed with enough money and insight to invest in a set of golf clubs once used by JFK for $750,000. There should be an astute art collector out there that will see the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent piece of sculpture which will certainly be a wise investment.
