One late afternoon in the summer of 1995, David Chettle, master sculptor, was
driving across the Table Rock Dam in Branson, Missouri. He was overwhelmed with the beauty
of the combination of the water, trees and hills surrounding him. At this very time is
when he envisioned a paramount sculpture on a hilltop within viewing range of the dam.
Awakened at 4:00 a.m. the next morning with the vision of the hands of God reaching
down from Heaven, David further envisioned the sculpture being made of polished bronze and
being approximately 70 in height. At the fingertips of God, and being presented by
Him to the world today, David saw the Son of God, "HIS ONLY
BEGOTTEN". This image of the Lord, the Son, was seen as being 36 feet
high, with the right hand raised in blessing. On either sides of Jesus are the Ten
Commandments and directly in front of Him is an eternal flame. Into this flame visitors
would be invited to place their written prayers as an offertory to God.
